چکیده

I show that Albert Einstein’s distinction between principle and constructive theories was predated by Hendrik A. Lorentz’s equivalent distinction between mechanismand principle-theories. I further argue that Lorentz’s views toward realism similarly prefigure what Arthur Fine identified as Einstein’s ‘‘motivational realism.’’ r 2005 Published by Elsevier Ltd.

How to define ‘Moral Realism’

Moral realism is the doctrine that some propositions asserting that some action is ‘morally’ good (obligatory, bad, or wrong) are true. The first defines ‘morally good ...

THE RELATIVISTIC ENERGY-MOMENTUM TENSOR IN POLARIZED MEDIA VII. DISCUSSION OF THE RESULTS IN CONNEXION WITH PREVIOUS WORK *) by S. R. de GROOT and L. G. SUTTORP

synopsis The literature on the relativistic energy-momentum tensor in polarized media falls apart in treatments based on microscopic first principles and considerations starting from macroscopic postulates. Only papers of the first category, such as Lorentz’s and Einstein-Laub’s, can be considered as derivations, whereas treatments of the second category, such as Minkowski’s and Abraham’s, base...

Coastal gated communities have been developed increasingly in the middle shoreline of Caspian Sea in North of Iran. They are kind of exclusive space production as they restrict public access t...
